About Dr. Eric Woolbright
Dr. Eric Woolbright grew up in the small, close-knit town of Centralia, IL. His uncle was part of the healthcare industry, which helped him realize he wanted to go in that direction and work in medicine. He was most intrigued by the face and jaws, and he had a special interest in helping those with facial deformities, such as cleft lip. This combination inspired him to pursue oral surgery.
Dr. Woolbright truly enjoys interacting with people and helping them with their oral surgery needs. He strives to treat patients the same way he would want to be treated if he were in their situation. He spends time trying to get to know his patients and strives to treat people with respect, compassion, and kindness.
Education & Residency
Dr. Woolbright attended Kaskaskia College and the University of Illinois for his undergraduate education. He continued on to dental school at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. He graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1985 and enrolled in his oral and maxillofacial residency at Cook County Hospital/University of Illinois Medical Center. While completing his residency, he gained hands-on experience treating a wide range of oral and facial conditions and safely administering all forms of anesthesia. When he completed his residency in 1988, he was awarded his specialty certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery. This combination of training goes beyond that of any other dental provider and makes Dr. Woolbright the most qualified surgeon to extract teeth, restore missing teeth, treat oral pathologies, address bone loss issues, performed advanced jaw surgeries, and much more!
